First impressions can make a lasting impact, so come prepared to your first meeting! And make sure you know how to use your inbox and the mentorship hub tools before you're live in the meeting.
Learn how to use your Platform Inbox and Mentorship Hub
As someone participating in an active long-term mentorship, you'll have access to not only the usual tools within the Platform Inbox, but also to the Mentorship Hub tools within the inbox.

How to get to the inbox
Access your platform inbox by clicking the Inbox tab in the top navigation bar.

Check out your mentee’s/mentor's profile
There are a couple ways you can access your mentor's/mentee's profile - either from the email notification you received or by logging into your platform inbox and clicking their profile image. We'll go over both below:
Option 1: View their profile from the notification email
In the email notification you received, look for and then click the blue View Profile link.
Option 2: View their profile from your platform inbox
- Click on the Inbox tab in the top navigation bar.
- Click on the relevant connection request.
- Click on the profile image of your mentee/mentor or the View Profile link.

Before the meeting...
Start thinking about goals for this mentorship - what you want to learn from your mentor?
Your goals will probably change as you talk with your mentor during your first couple of meetings, but it's a good idea to go into the mentorship with at least an idea of what you want to get out of it.
During the meeting...
- Be curious and ask questions
- Be mindful of your body language
- Show appreciation
- Listen well
