Using Video Chat Icebreakers

Overview

When you think of joining a mentor on a career exploration video call, how do you feel? Confident and prepared? Or nervous and unsure of what to ask? If the idea makes you anxious, you're not alone! That's why we've developed video chat icebreakers. These icebreakers offer support and guidance in real time to help you make a great impression and get the most value out of the call.

Both participants on the call will see the icebreakers, and it's up to each of you to decide whether you want to use them.

Using Video Chat Icebreakers

1. When you begin a video call, you'll see a blue box pointing you towards the Icebreaker cards at the bottom of the screen. Click Question Cards to view Icebreakers.

2. Use the arrow buttons to scroll through the Icebreakers. It's completely up to you whether you want to use them.

3. If you'd rather not see Icebreakers, simply click the X in the top right corner of the card.
