Overview
Want to keep your basic profile information private? Learn how to update your privacy settings so your profile doesn't appear on pages outside of the platform, such as your institution’s public website or career center.
Can I Update My Privacy Settings?
Yes—absolutely! PeopleGrove gives users full control over their profiles and data. With just a few quick steps, you can make your profile private and limit its visibility outside the platform.
How to Update Your Privacy Settings
-
Log in to your PeopleGrove account
-
Click your profile image (or your initials icon) in the upper-right corner
-
Select “My Preferences” from the dropdown menu
-
In the left-hand sidebar, click “Privacy”
-
Locate the setting:
“Keep my basic information from appearing on publicly visible web pages” -
Toggle this setting on to make your profile private
What Happens When You Enable This?
When this setting is turned on:
-
Your profile will no longer be displayed on public-facing pages such as your university’s virtual career center or other institutionally affiliated websites
-
Your profile will still be visible within the PeopleGrove platform to other approved users. If you're interested in changing your visibility within PeopleGrove, that can also be done through the Privacy tab. Learn more here.
